Part 1: Adjust time zone on robot
1. After calibrating successfully, tap the side pad to exit the Nimbo app and click the system setting button like below:
2. Find Date & Time setting
3. Turn off the Auto time zone setting (The auto setting usually bring it to UTC time). The automatic time setting is usually accurate.
4. Adjust the time zone accordingly. And make sure to turn on the 24-hour format. And verify if the system time is accurate now (green box).
Part 2: Set Up Time Schedule and Charing for Patrol on Nimbo app
1. Open "Nimbo App," click gear icon at the bottom left corner.
2. Scroll down to "Charging," set up the the charging range from 35% -70%.
(Charing: When Nimbo's power drops to minimum of "Charging Config" during patrolling, Nimbo will change the mode to "go home" and back to charging base automatically. When Nimbo's power reaches maximum of power Percentage, Nimbo switch mode to "Patrol" and leave home automatically and start to patrol)
4. For setting minimum battery percentage for charging, please make sure it is no lower than 30%. However, it is highly recommend suggest using 35% ~ 90%.
5. On the time schedule panel, Set patrol start time and end time. When the local time reaches the start patrol time and Nimbo is fully charged, Nimbo will leave home and start to patrol.
Part 3: Set Up Nimbo's Auto-Charging Base
Setup Charging Station for Nimbo
Adjust the brightness of the charging base backlight to the minimum (use the +/- buttons on the charging base to change the backlight).
Do not set the charging base on a carpeted surface, use a solid surface (wood, tile, laminate, etc.).
Check that the space between the bottom of Nimbo's base is approximately 14mm above the charging base.Keep an open area around the charging base (empty in the radius of 1 m)
The patrol speed after setting home should be less than 0.3 m/s
Note: do not leave the Nimbo be charged on the charging station for more than 3 days
Part 4: Setting home
Step 1: Launch the Controller and relocalize Nimbo before setting up the charging base. Move Nimbo on charging base ideally with speed less than 0.2 m/s.
(This can also be achieved manually by putting your hand at the back of Nimbo's head while pushing left/right to control direction, as shown in the video below)
Make sure Nimbo’s camera is aligned exactly to the QR code
Make sure the upper layer of the charging base is not off-center
Step 3: On your iOS device, verify Nimbo is in “Control” mode and tap the “Mapping” option on the righthand side of the screen.
Step 4: Tap “Set Home”.
Step 5: Tap “Set Home” again. At this point, the robot may wiggle back and forth to calibrate.
Finally, you will see a confirmation on your iOS device that the pairing was successful. If the pairing is unsuccessful, check the camera angle and QR code and try again.
Step 6: If the robot leaves the Home charging base, then setup was successful. If the robot doesn’t move for over 3 minutes, please try the set home process again.
Part 5: Starting Nimbo's patrol
There are three methods to start Nimbo's patrol: the Controller, the robot's main page on the Turing app, or Nimbo's status screen.
Launch the Controller tool in the Turing app. Tap the "Mode" option in the upper left corner. From the pop-up menu, select "Patrol." Nimbo will start to patrol on the selected map and route.
You can also turn off the map by tapping the on/off option located on the bottom left corner of the Controller.
Method 2: Robot's main page
From the navigation bar on the Turing app, select "Robots."From the list of robots on your account, select the one you wish to patrol. This will bring you to the robot's main page.Tap "Start Patrol" located in the bottom center of your screen.
Open the Nimbo app on your robot. From the navigation bar on the lefthand side of the screen, tap the green triangle button.
